ACCIDENT AT ABSEILING - DESCENT WITHOUT GLOVES - 12/15/2013

This is disgusting !

I know and I apologize to those who do not like to see it , but it is important to share this experience .


Always ask someone to check your equipment and make safety down before descending in rappel routes .

In São Paulo on 12/15/2013 in moment of distraction a girl forgot to put on gloves and went without security.

The girl picked up momentum and fell instantly the rope burned his hands , the first thought the girl was holding the rope, but the survival instinct not allowed and she remembered that if you release the rope , she would fall about 13 meters and could suffer fractures serious or even die .

The biggest was the girl 's fault , I know , but this serves as a lesson for all extreme sports teams , should all be vigilant , checking colleagues , things like that can be avoided .

Could have happened to anyone , we are human and are flawed !

Every extreme sport has its level of security and your threshold for margin of error . Not always have 100 % success in your practice , but as we see , virtually all accidents are caused by human error and not equipment failure .

Then I leave a tip: ATTENTION , DISCIPLINE AND TRAINING ! Extreme sport is no joke and it is not time for distraction. I thank God that nothing happened grave .
